DAY 18 - THURSDAY - 20 FEB

“They raised their voices together in prayer to God. ‘Sovereign Lord,’ they said, ‘You made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them . . . Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.’ After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” - Acts 4:23-31

Peter, John and the early Church encountered God because they believed Him. They believed He was the Almighty. They believed He was sovereign. They believed He could heal and perform signs and wonders. They believed. And He did. How do your prayers reflect what you believe about God?

PRAY FOR SELF:

God, strengthen my faith. Forgive me of the times my faith was weak. Allow me to increase my faith and belief in you because I see your power at work every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.

PRAY FOR CHURCH:

God, we ask that as our church gathers for Encounter, you may stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders. As we come together, may we strengthen and encourage each other, so that we may grow our faith. We cry out in worship to you because you are holy, worthy and glorious. In Jesus’ name, amen.
